‘Hound’ trial delay
A DECISION on whether Londonbased trader Navinder Sarao should be extradited to the US to stand trial over his alleged role in causing the 2010 Wall Street ‘flash crash’ has been delayed until next year.
Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday postponed his extradition hearing until February 4 after the US added new allegations against him. Sarao, known as the ‘Hound of Hounslow’, has been indicted on 22 counts including wire fraud and attempted price manipulation.
The crash saw the Dow briefly plunge more than 1,000 points on May 6, 2010.
