Born in Australia, he qualifies for the USA through residency and started out as a top American college basketball player. His rugby career started with the Denver Barbarians before signing for Saracens in 2008. Four years later, he quit rugby and for the next two seasons played as a tight end for the New York Jets, but then quit American football and returned to Saracens.
