Clarifications & corrections

AN ITEM in a feature on September 18 about the Nazi blitz on Coventry said that Delia Derbyshire composed the Doctor Who theme music. We are happy to clarify that in fact Delia Derbyshire collaborated with BBC c omposer Ron Grainer to create the iconic tune.

A HEADLINE on page 21 of yesterday’s Scottish Daily Mail read: ‘ A9 shut as police evict OAP who was l i ving i n car.’ Police Scotland has asked us to point out that while police officers were there to ensure public safety, the encampment was removed by officials acting under the authority of court orders obtained by Transport Scotland following consultation with partner agencies. We are happy to clarify.
