Bono’s daughter is a true daddy’s girl
EVE HEWSON is one of those ravishing, sultry Irish beauties. The daughter of Bono and Ali Hewson, she is a promising actress who stars i n the television series The Knick.
At the age of 24, she is keen to make her mark in the world — and like all offspring of the famous, also keen to underline the fact that she Made It On Her Own.
Earlier this year, she sniffed: ‘There’s the cliche of the celebrity kid with a fragrance and a handbag line and they design jewellery on the side and maybe dabble in acting. I’ve always been very particular about the fact that acting is the one thing I want to do.’
Fair enough. However, there is another cliche. A photo session showing a young actress posing on a bed, wearing a wisp of silk negligee, with her big boys on show, in a stance that suggests: ‘Come and get me, I’m all yours.’ Exactly like the one Eve has just done for GQ magazine. She’s also depicted in a swimming costume and high heels — cliche or what?
Unlike Rumer Willis or the McCartney progeny or useless Beatrices and Eugenies ever y where, Eve actually seems to have some talent. And I know young actresses need to get noticed.
However, it sounds as if she’s in danger of turning into a sanctimonious hypocrite. Just like her old dad. Let’s hope she pays her taxes. At the very least.
