MY sister-in-law’s great-grandson, Cameron, put a tooth under his pillow for the tooth fairy. Unfortunately, when he awoke there was no money. His parents each thought the other had seen to it. To make up for the disappointment, they put £5 there and told him to look again. On visiting his great-grandmother, he proudly told her he got £5 from the tooth fairy. She took out her false teeth and said that, if they shared the profit, he could put them under the pillow. ‘Don’t be silly, Grandma,’ he said. ‘You can only put them there one at a time.’
