EXPLOSIVE FOOTBALL BUST-UPS

-

BOB MALCOLM AND STEPHEN DOBBIE

SCOTTISH striker Dobbie was preparing to come on as a sub during Barry Ferguson’s Blackpool’s vital Championship clash with Burnley when assistant Bob Malcolm had words with the ex-Hibs ace and ended up shoving his own player in the dug-out, leading to him being sent off. Ferguson later played down the incident.

PAOLO DI CANIO AND LEON CLARK

CLARK, who had only been at Swindon for 11 days, trudged off at full-time and had words with fitness coach Claudio Donatelli before confronting former Celtic star and Robins boss di Canio. After initially appearing to comfort the player, he then dragged Clark down the tunnel where they had to be separated following an ugly brawl.

ADEM LJAJIC AND DELIO ROSSI

SERBIAN striker Ljajic was unhappy at being hooked in the first half during Fiorentina’s 2-2 draw with Novara and sarcastically put his thumb up to his manager. However, he was shocked when Rossi (right) raced across to where the player was sitting and belted him in the face before being restrained. Rossi was sacked after the game.

CARLOS TEVEZ AND ROBERTO MANCINI (Parts 1&2)

TEVEZ first cracked up after being subbed during a match at Bolton Wanderers and went face-to-face with Mancini, but that was nothing compared to the 2012 incident in Munich when Tevez (right) refused to warm-up as a substitute, causing an angry bust-up. Mancini insisted Tevez would ‘never play again’ for City. He did.

PAULO WANCHOPE AND A SECURITY GUARD

THE former Manchester City, West Ham and Derby County striker was the manager of Costa Rica and was on the bench during an Under-23 match. Astonishingly, he became embroiled in a huge punch-up with a security guard after complaining about referring decisions. He resigned the next day.
