EasyJet prof­its hit new heights


EASYJET is set to post its high­est ever an­nual prof­its of about £700m next week.

The low cost air­line is likely to re­veal pre-tax prof­its have risen by a fifth. It ben­e­fited from bad weather in the UK and north­ern Europe over the sum­mer, prompt­ing peo­ple to fly in search of the sun.

How­ever, it was caught in re­cent cri­sis in Sharm elSheikh and it may also suf­fer if the Paris atroc­i­ties de­ter peo­ple from trav­el­ling abroad.

Shares, up 15pc over the past year, closed at 1790p last week.
