Maharaja’s playboy heir welcomes son
TEN years after being left in a coma by a horrific polo accident, the Maharaja of Jodhpur’s eldest son, Shivraj Singh, has welcomed a son and heir.
Old Etonian Shivraj, 40, suffered severe head injuries at a match in Jaipur in 2005, which left him in a coma for two months.
But after a remarkable recovery, he was able to go back to work for his family’s palace hotel group.
Once one of the most eligible bachelors in the world, the playboy prince has a daughter after marrying Indian princess Gayatri Kumari, right, five years ago. Guests at his lavish 2010 wedding included Sir Mick Jagger and the Duchess of York.
