Find the REAL culprits

-

We are told that Islamic State has enormous funds from its oil revenues. If so, how do they sell the oil and who is buying it?

They are the true backers of the terrorists, and I can’t believe our intelligence services don’t know where and who they are. If we can cut off that supply of funding, a major blow can be dealt to ISIS operations. ANTHONY GODDARD,

Radlett, Herts. We need to question the established view of the chaos in Syria and the Middle east.

Does no one remember the machinegunning of civilians by US helicopters in Fallujah, the torture in Abu Ghraib prison, the water-boarding and Guantanamo’s inhumane conditions, all resulting from the illegal invasion of Iraq?

When the US arranged for the sectarian Maliki to take power in Iraq, he promptly removed all Sunnis from the government and the army, further alienating them. It all culminated in the rise of ISIS.

The US in particular, and the West in general, must end their arrogant and violent interference in the Middle east. The farcical UK confusion over ‘who to bomb’ in Syria illustrates the West’s arrogant and ignorant behaviour. Ordinary european civilians are now suffering because of this.
