Lonely but vital task
READING John McLeod’s Essay (Mail) on loneliness, I thought of some words of advice given me recently by a minister friend I drove to a funeral.
She told me of the number of funerals she has conducted where little is known about the deceased was about 50 per cent.
Had I written my history, she asked? I told her I had not her reply was simple: ‘Do it.’
I started on my laptop and was amazed how so much came flooding back. So I would encourage everyone to get involved – everyone has a story to tell. B. SCOTT-BROWN, Callander,
