Tributes paid to cruise worker

tributes have been paid to a young woman found dead in her flat.

the body of Katy rourke was discovered in Govan, Glasgow, on Wednesday, sparking a police investigat­ion.

Miss rourke, right, was originally from broughty Ferry, Dundee, but had been living in Glasgow with her sister Jen while working for cruise ship firm P&O Australia. Her parents, Philip, 55, and Dawn, 54, were comforted at their home in Dundee but were too distressed to talk about her death. the university graduate is also survived by 28-yearold Jen and younger sister, 23-year-old Gill.

Yesterday friends took to social media to remember her. Ash Fairbairn wrote: ‘We are numb and our hearts are broken.’

Nicole robert said: ‘she will be greatly missed by everyone,’ while Vajiko Nemsadze wrote: ‘Our beloved Katy Jayne is no more with us... she was one of the warmest and one of the sweetest persons i have known. i will always miss you but have you in my heart.’

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with Miss rourke’s death.
