Nature gives us green light to start the New Year
Northern sight: View from Caithness AS a flickering band of emerald green illuminated the early morning sky, it was the most spectacular light show any New Year’s celebration could offer.
The Northern Lights saw nature brilliantly eclipse any pyrotechnic display.
Two stunning photographs capture the phenomenon in full flight, with one taken in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, and another showing the aurora borealis over the Island of Hoy, Orkney, taken from the village of Mey, Caithness.
