I HAVE 3, 3 00 s hares in Eurotunnel. How much are they worth and how do I sell them?

WILL National Savings pay interest without deducting tax on its Pensioner Bonds from April in the same way as banks and building societies?

D. B., by email. Any i nterest added f r om April 6, 2016, will have no tax deducted. So if you bought the 65+ Guaranteed Growth Bonds after April 6 this year, your interest will be paid before tax when it i s added on t he 12-month anniversary.

Interest added before April will be paid after 20 pc tax. So nontaxpayers who took out a bond before then will still have to reclaim the tax.

R. B., Hertfordshire. no. The Government has confirmed the extra 3 pc tax on standard stamp duty rates to be paid on second homes won’t apply to people in your situation.

D. J., via email. no. CApITAl Gains Tax is paid at a rate of 18 pc or 28 pc — depending on your income — on profits of more than £11,100 this tax year. your profit from the sale of your shares is below this level.

So long as you haven’t made other profits this year that might take you over the limit, you will not have to pay tax on the gain.
