Now Salmond seeks radio control as well

-

GREAT news for Scottish employment figures: Alex Salmond begins his fourth job tomorrow, as the host of a weekly radio show.

In a week when his constituents are battling terrible flooding and hardship, who would have thought that being an MP, an MSP and a newspaper columnist could leave our former FM with so much free time?

To be fair, Alex is a gifted broadcaster; sharp, funny, quick-witted and up for anything. he held his ground on have I Got news For You recently, and once almost blew up our ironymeters by appearing on Call My Bluff. Rather more winningly, he has also admitted that he almost did a turn on I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of here but finally decided against it – possibly because it meant going up the jungle with Christine hamilton that year.

In Westminster, Alex asks more questions than any other MP. however on the radio, it’s the listeners who can phone in and try to get some answers.

Alex promises that ‘no topic is off limits’ – so maybe P Wishart from Perth can ring up to find out what he should tell people after announcing that nobody in the SnP has more than one job.

or perhaps Eck can take a call from nicola in Edinburgh, who may want to know what she should do about a former boss who doesn’t want to admit he’s no longer running the show, and keeps upstaging her.
