Cheers to a dry January

APPARENTLY, Dry January does us more harm than good. Hurrah. It makes sense that total abstinence encourages bingeing, which is why I practise Dry Weekdays instead.

Sunday to Thursday I stick to soft drinks, then come Friday and Saturday nights treat myself to a glass of wine or two.

Of course, all bets are off if it’s a Bank Holiday, or a long weekend, or a work night out, or…
