JON DANIEL, a 49-year-old graphic designer and father of two, knows how good it feels to take control of your health.
Like Elizabeth (above), and many other people with this condition, he had no idea that he had a problem.
Yet a blood test in 2012 showed that his blood sugar levels were more than three times greater than normal.
Following his diagnosis with Type 2 diabetes, he was given endless conflicting advice by nutritionists and dieticians. One ‘expert’ told him to eat a pineapple every day; another recommended cereal every morning. No one suggested cutting back on his calories, even though he weighed 21st.
When he heard about the Blood Sugar Diet, he was immediately attracted. It made sense. He liked the fact that it got quick results, and he liked the simplicity. He lost 19lb in the first week — the same weight as a car tyre.
Much of that would have been water, but still, it was impressive. In three months, he lost 50lb. Friends say he looks 20 years younger. Most importantly, his blood sugar results are back to normal and he is no longer on medication.
