AFTER being sold as a slave in Boston, James Somerset was brought to England. He escaped, but was recaptured, leading to a trial in 1772. THE Manchester rock band James have been going since the Eighties. The band had a bit of a lull at the start of the 21st century, but regrouped and came back stronger than ever. Death, and the equally wily Mrs Mozart, put an end to this scheme. Then, various composers put an end to the unfinished Requiem, which comes live from Cardiff in RADIO 3 IN CONCERT (7.30PM).
