MISSING Scot Lisa Brown was targeted by vandals in the months leading up to her disappearance, neighbours have claimed.

The 32-year-old was last seen on November near her home in San Roque, close to Spain’s border with Gibraltar.

Spanish police have continued to search for Miss Brown, originally from Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, while friends and family are appealing online for information.

Yesterday one of Miss Brown’s neighbours claimed that the mother of one had been hit by vandals who slashed her car’s tyres.

Amanda Luke told followers of the Find Lisa Facebook page, which is routinely monitored by the missing woman’s sister, Helen Jordan, that the initials ‘DW’ had been carved into her car.

Mrs Luke said: ‘In the months running up to her disappearance, Lisa’s car was vandalised at least twice. The first time two tyres were slashed. The second time, four tyres were slashed and the initials DW were scratched on her car.

‘She commented to my husband that she knew exactly who had done it, but did not name the culprit.’ Last night Mrs Jordan, said the authorities had been made aware of the incidents.

Miss Brown’s eight-year-old son, Marco, has been staying with his father, Tony Tomillero, in La Linea, near Gibraltar, while police search her nearby home for clues.

Officers in Spain earlier disclosed that they were keen to speak to Miss Brown’s violent

boyfriend Simon Corner, originally from Liverpool, who had been in Thailand following her disappearance.

Earlier this week he returned to Spain, but is yet to meet with investigators. The 33year-old, who also goes by the name Dean Woods, has said he has ‘nothing to hide’.

He was jailed for three months last year for having a knife in a Gibraltar nightclub. He was also convicted of common assault, death threats and disorderly conduct in a police station.

Corner’s legal adviser, Jason Coghlan, said his client was ‘100 per cent determined to clear his name of any of the wholly unfounded allegations against him’.

Police have yet to release any official information or comment on the development.
