CELEBRATE awe-inspiring innovation, breathtaking architecture and brave, bold designs in Argyll and the Isles in Scotl and’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016.

Discover the nation’s greatest modernist ruin, St Peter’s Seminary at Hinderland, the official launch event of Scotland’s Festival of Architecture from March 18-27.

As dusk falls to darkness, you can explore this architectural masterpiece reanimated at night for the first time, combining moving light installations and projection with a haunting choral soundscape.

Be inspired by the groundbreaking designs of The Hill House near Helensburgh, the masterpiece of leading architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You’ll be amazed by the fascinating mixture of architectural styles and elaborate, airy decorative schemes.

On the Isle of Mull, visit the innovative arts centre An To bar in Tobermory and witness some brilliant art exhibitions and moving musical performances.

On the other side of the island, don’t miss Calgary Wood Art in Nature and take a st roll along the terrific sculpture trail that winds through the wood.

Further south, another hub of creativity worth visiting is Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park, an outdoor gallery tucked away at Colintraive on the Kyles of Bute, Argyll’s ‘secret coast’.

It’s a unique gallery exhibiting contemporary sculpture amid a beautiful setting with spectacular views over the Kyles of Bute.
