LITHUANIAN TORTURED AND DISMEMBERE­D WOMAN

Vitas Plytnykas tortured Jolanta Bledaite, 35, then suffocated her with a pillow before chopping her body up and dumping it in the sea in Brechin, Angus, in March 2008.

The Lithuanian was caught after Miss Bledaite’s head washed ashore at Arbroath. After he was convicted of her murder at the High Court in Edinburgh and jailed for life it was revealed Plytnykas had a previous conviction for manslaught­er in Germany. His accomplice Aleksandra­s Skirda had his 20year sentence for killing Miss Bledaite reduced to 18 years.

BURGLAR BEAT COUPLE TO DEATH WEEK AFTER ARRIVAL

Ireneusz Bartnowski, 22, battered and stabbed an elderly couple to death in 2011 – a week after arriving in the UK to stay with his sister next door.

He watched Guiseppe and Caterina Massaro for days before breaking in to their home and waiting for ten hours.

When Mr Massaro, 80, and his wife, 77, went to bed, Bartnowski attacked them with a knife and a foot-long hammer.

Four years earlier, he had been convicted of burglary in his homeland and given a suspended sentence. Jailing him for at least 3 years for the murders, a judge at Wolverhamp­ton Crown Court said he was ‘evil beyond belief’.

SLOVAKIAN RAPED THEN BEAT HIS VICTIM TO DEATH

Marek Harcar, from Slovakia, raped and murdered Moira Jones in Glasgow ten days after moving to Scotland.

He forced the 0-year-old into Queen’s Park, where he assaulted her and battered her to death. Miss Jones sustained 65 separate injuries. Harcar fled Scotland but was detained by Slovakian police three weeks later and extradited to the UK to face justice.

After his trial at Glasgow’s High Court it was revealed that Harcar had 13 conviction­s, including four for violence in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He was sentenced to life imprisonme­nt.

CZECH PREDATOR GUILTY OF FOUR SEX ATTACKS IN UK

A Czech criminal was allowed into Britain despite a murder conviction – and carried out a series of sex attacks including a knifepoint rape.

Kajus Scuka, 52, had been jailed for 11 years in his homeland for stabbing his wife to death when she discovered he was cheating on her. He also had conviction­s for gross indecency, indecent assault and an axe attack on a woman.

He came to the UK in 2009. But until they caught him, police did not know he was here. By then he had attacked three women and raped a fourth while she was walking her dog. He was jailed for at least 12 years in 2012.
