Fatcat salaries of Mayor Boris charity chiefs

-

NEW Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has lived modestly on his £67,000 MP’s salary and pledged to reduce the ‘outrageous’ £650,000 pay package pocketed by Peter Hendy, the former London transport chief.

So the fat cat salaries paid to top brass at the Mayor’s Fund for London won’t sit well with the parsimonious Labour politician, after Khan took over as patron of the social mobility charity from Boris Johnson this month. Under Boris’s patronage, the top four executives at the Mayor’s Fund for London earned more than £375,000 between them in 2015, latest accounts reveal.

One of the unnamed executives earned between £100,000 and £109,999, while the highest-paid director — thought to be CEO Matthew Patten — earned more than the Prime Minister’s £142,500 salary — trousering between £160,000 and £169,999 last year.
