HUGHES DEPARTS AS CALEY THISTLE BOSS

-

INVERNESS last night confirmed they had parted company with manager John Hughes after two-and-a-half years in charge. Tensions between Hughes and the Caley Thistle board over the club’s budget and ability to retain players had steadily grown this season. A severance package has now been reached. Hughes delivered the club’s first-ever major trophy with the 2015 Scottish Cup. Meanwhile, ex-Kilmarnock manager Gary Locke has been appointed boss of Raith Rovers.
