AIRLINE BOSS African budget airline Fastjet has appointed the outgoing boss of rival Mango Airlines as its chief executive, sending its shares 14pc higher, or 3.62p to 29.5p.
Nico Bezuidenhout, who joins Fastjet on August 1, will be filling a position that was vacant for nearly three months after the previous boss, Ed Winter, resigned due to pressure from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who owns a 12pc stake in the carrier.
