How Murray improved his Beck-hand
HE has been tipped as a potential future tennis star.
So who better to give Romeo Beckham a few lessons than Andy Murray?
As the Scots tennis ace gears up for Wimbledon, he took time out of practice yesterday to hit a few balls with David Beckham’s teenage son at Queen’s Club.
Murray, 29, will begin his bid to win for a fifth time at Queen’s Aegon Championship tomorrow, and was happy to spend time with the 1 -year-old.
In a recent Instagram post, the youngster’s mother, Victoria, posted a picture of him playing tennis and captioned it: ‘Romeo is a true sportsman. Game, set and match!’
Meanwhile, tennis coach John Johnson last year said the teen was one to watch, saying: ‘Romeo is really into tennis. He has a lot of talent and very good hand-eye co-ordination.’
Proud father David grinned as he watched the session, before Murray posted an image of them on Facebook, saying: ‘Great to have David Beckham and Romeo at my practice today.’
It comes as Murray is reunited with former coach, Ivan Lendl, in the hope of improving his trophy haul.
And yesterday, it emerged that his tennis performance is not the only thing the Dunblane player is investing in.
Murray – who owns Border terriers Maggie May and Rusty – has invested in a business that offers pet owners peace of mind.
The Dog Tracker Nano is a live tracking device that monitors the location and health of pets.
It is one of a number of new investments the world number two has made via UK equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
