Tom and Taylor... a timely meeting?
WHEN singer Taylor Swift and actor Tom Hiddleston were pictured kissing on a beach earlier this week, their blossoming romance came as a bolt out of the blue to many.
But a new image has surfaced that suggests the seeds of love may have been sown several weeks ago when the pair both attended Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner.
A picture from the party at the editor-in-chief of American Vogue’s home on May 1 shows Hiddleston, 35, leaving with fellow British actor Idris Elba. But a closer look reveals Miss Swift, 26, in the background also about to leave.
The British star of recent BBC hit thriller The Night Manager was seated next to the singer at the star-studded event and spoke highly of her when interviewed afterwards by MTV.
He said: ‘I sat next to her at dinner that night and she was very charming. She is amazing.’
Yesterday, it emerged Miss Swift’s ex, Dumfries-born Calvin Harris, has deleted his Instagram photos of the singer.
The photographs of Miss Swift and Hiddleston emerged two weeks after the her split with Harris, her boyfriend of 15 months. The Scottish DJ, 32, unfollowed her on Twitter, while Miss Swift has similarly purged her social media of any mention of Harris.
A spokesman for Hiddleston declined to comment.
