Amanda’s dog fight at awards
AS a Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden is often bowled over by animals.
But in this instance the star found herself literally floored by an exuberant young dog. The 45-year-old – wearing a sparkly and daring cut-away gown – was helping hand out gongs at an animal hero awards ceremony when one winner became over-emotional.
Baxter the labrador leapt at the motherof-two, pushing her to the stage floor – then jumped on top of her, licking her face, clambering over her back and generally wagging his tail enthusiastically.
While the audience at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel found the encounter hilarious, Baxter’s handler desperately tried to prise him off the actress. The pet had won an award for helping save the life of six-year-old Olivia Goodman, when she was choking during a seizure last year.
Baxter’s owner, Amanda Goodman, apologised to Miss Holden on social media, posting: ‘Baxter sends his apologies for all the kisses on stage last night. He’s pretty pleased about it.’
