Mills & Boon flirt with humour

THE Ladybird Books For Grownups, comically adult versions of the classic children’s reads, have been runaway best-sellers.

Now, romance publisher Mills & Boon is getting in on the trend with its own humorous books.

Its Modern Girl’s Guides to life will feature black-and-white archive photographs of women accompanied by a witty ‘21st-century commentary’. The books, say publishers, will contain ‘vital advice every woman needs to survive’ on topics such as shopping online while drunk.

The first two, The Mills & Boon Modern Girl’s Guide To Working 9 To 5 and Guide To Happy Hour will be out in November at £6.99 each.
