JAMIE AND SOARES INTO DOUBLES FINAL

JAMIE MURRAY and doubles partner Bruno Soares reached the US Open final last night after they beat defending champions and top seeds Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. They will play the winners of the all-Spanish semi-final which sees Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez up against Pablo Carreno Busta and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. Afterwards, Murray said: ‘We’ve had a great tournament so far. We’ve won five matches. It’s a lot more fun to play in front of a noisy crowd.’
