Nurse dies after freak fall down stairs at home
A NURSE has died after falling downstairs at her home.
Alison Clark, 36, passed away on Saturday after the accident at her first-floor flat in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.
The mother-of-two was a trauma nurse at the town’s Monklands Hospital.
Colleagues have launched a fundraising campaign in her name that has already raised more than £4,000.
Miss Clark, pictured, had two daughters, Megan, 17, and Alix, 11, who were last night being comforted by family members.
Police have confirmed that her death is not being treated as suspicious, although a post-mortem examination will take place.
Daughter Megan wrote on Facebook: ‘Didn’t think I would ever have to type this but rest easy mum, I love you more than words can describe.’
