Bashing the BBC

-

tHE snP government document which was highly critical of the BBc (Mail) will be viewed by many as simply a further payback for Alex salmond being questioned too closely by nick Robinson during the 2014 referendum campaign.

clearly the staged ‘protest’ demonstration outside the BBc Glasgow offices at that time was not enough and rancour remains high.

How dare anyone ask Mr salmond piercing questions and not be put off by bluster! they need to be taught a lesson seems to be the thinking.

In fact it is a pity we have to rely on London-based heavyweights, such as Robinson and Andrew neil, to break through the deference to the snP barrier so prevalent in scotland.

the snP, it appears, means to make

the Corporation pay for having the temerity to dig deeper and put Alex Salmond on the spot. he did not like it. Considering the accuracy of Mr Salmond’s post-referendum economic forecasts, many will think the media in general was far too soft on Nationalist leaders.

excuse the cynicism on the highly spun ‘slamming’ of the BBC, but I have lived through years of SNP spin and even the most reasonable will now be beginning to question what they are told from an SNP source. ALEXANDER MCKAY, Edinburgh.
