I AM amused by discussion of the possible reversion to traditional measurements after Brexit (Letters).

I would draw attention to the fact that imperial units such as miles and ounces came to Britain from the Roman empire and metric simply means measurement.

Our current european measurements are based on SI (Systeme Internationale) base units. I don’t mind how things are measured, provided I get the quantity I was promised. BERNARD SHELLEY, Lyne, Surrey.
