Mum’s protest... written in the dirt on a hospital floor

-

A YOUNG mother was so disgusted by the grime in a hospital waiting room that she wrote ‘clean me now’ in the dirt on the filthy floor.

Shelby Peel had taken her son Finley, two, to hospital with suspected bronchitis. But she was so shocked by how dirty the waiting room was at Tameside General Hospital, Greater Manchester, that she used a baby wipe to write her message on the floor. The 18-year-old said: ‘It’s a children’s waiting room, so there are kids in there who put their hands on the floor and then in their mouths.’

The hospital has pledged to review its cleaning schedule.
