Now Douglas puts £8.2m Bermuda pad up for sale

-

EVEN Hollywood grandees don’t need five houses as they enter their eighth decade.

Days after his 72nd birthday, Michael Douglas has put the Bermuda mansion he owns with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones on the market for £8.2 million.

The couple are also trying to sell a 247acre estate in Majorca that Douglas bought with his first wife, Diandra Luker, and recently knocked £7million off the £41 million asking price.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones, 47, who share a birthday, own three further homes: one in Manhattan, another in upstate New York, and one in Catherine’s home town of Swansea.

Douglas survived throat cancer three years ago, leaving Zeta-Jones fearful for the future of the couple’s two children: Carys, 13, and Dylan, 16.

‘Our children asking “Is Daddy going to die” was really hard,’ Zeta-Jones said.
