HAPPY HANDS

-

DR RITA RAKUS recommends this exercise to clients at her clinic. She says: ‘Targeted facial movements for your lips can help to revitalise them. This one also helps to prevent the skin around the mouth from sagging, which will make your lips look younger.’

Position your hands on the corners of your mouth, with your forefingers pointing upwards, and lift the edges of your lips firmly as if you’re forcing yourself to smile. Hold for several seconds, then relax and repeat five times.

This stimulates collagen in the skin round the mouth and helps tighten the muscles to prevent the old lady ‘sulky mouth’ lip downturn.
