GLASGOW Warriors have done well to sign 27-year-old USA international Langilangi Haupeakui on a two-year deal. With a long list of important players such as Adam Ashe and Chris Fusaro facing long injury lay-offs, the 6ft 1in back-row star can’t arrive quickly enough for Glasgow fans. Known as a strong ball carrier, he’s had only one season as a professional in the USA where, admittedly, the standard is not as high. He’s a rough diamond but an important acquisition for a team short of fit back-row talent.
