O’CONNELL FIRES ’EM UP

PAUL O’CONNELL (left), the former British and Irish Lions captain, took on the role played by Sir Alex Ferguson at Gleneagles in 2014 by giving a motivational speech in Europe’s team room. Captain Darren Clarke said: ‘Paul was exceptional. You could have heard a pin drop when he was talking. The team and caddies were very impressed with what he had to say.’
