Law firm merger hope
THREE of London’s largest law firms are weighing up a deal that would create a legal giant with revenues of almost £1bn.
Partners close to CMS, Olswang and Nabarro confirmed the talks to Legal Week, and Olswang partners are understood to be meeting today to vote on a deal.
Olswang, which was among the firms that advised Sir Philip Green on the sale of BHS, has been seeking a merger for some time.
News of a potential deal with CMS Cameron McKenna broke over the summer, and there has also been talk of a break-up.
Corporate law firm Nabarro was also among the firms which advised Green on the sale of the now collapsed retailer.
The law firms were not available for comment.
