So did family know of badge of horror?

-

THE charade of parading the Brain family at the SNP conference on Saturday was unedifying, to say the least. These are SNP activists who were portrayed as victims. Father Gregg Brain sported a yellow badge with ‘F’ (for foreigner) on it. Was he aware that this kind of emblem was worn by victims of the National Socialists in Germany? If so, it was as tasteless as it was inappropriate. It was an insult to the many victims of Nazism. Already we have had Nationalists Mhairi Black MP and Christina McKelvie MSP comparing Westminster Government policies with the rise of Nazism. Had a comparison been made between the SNP and the Nazis, there would have been uproar from Nationalists. Yet now their representatives see fit to compare a democratic party and system with one of the most odious dictatorships of all time. This is utterly disgraceful and should not be repeated. Mr and Mrs Brain are fortunate that they are in the UK and not some dictatorial regime. And they might like to ponder how easily a Scottish family with, apparently, no means of support, would have found it to emigrate to the Brains’ native Australia.
