Her shocking decline
In 2006, Lindsay Lohan was treated in hospital for ‘dehydration and exhaustion’. An executive on the set of her film Georgia Rule accused her of extreme partying.
In January 2007, she underwent her first stint in a rehabilitation clinic.
That May she was arrested for drink-driving, and her mugshot was seen around the world. She went back to rehab. Shortly after leaving, she was arrested again for drink-driving and cocaine possession. She checked into rehab for the third time.
Miss Lohan pleaded guilty to the charges from both arrests. She was placed on probation for three years and served just 84 minutes in jail.
In 2009 it was reported she failed to pay her rent on time and her landlord had issued her with a legal notice.
In July 2010 she was convicted of violating her probation after failing to attend mandatory alcohol classes. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, although served only 14 days, before her fourth spell in rehab.
In September that year she violated probation again and went back to rehab.
In 2011 she was charged with theft after stealing a necklace and served a month-long house arrest sentence. She also violated her probation again.
The next three years saw several more encounters with police, but in 2014 she moved to London to try to rebuild her career.
In July this year police were called to her flat when she and then-fiancé Egor Tarabasov had a huge row. Footage later emerged appearing to show them brawling on a Greek beach on holiday a few weeks before.
