Comic Kevin splashes £860k on flat

- By Stuart MacDonald

SCOTS comedian Kevin Bridges has splashed out nearly £860,000 to buy a new luxury bachelor pad.

The millionaire funnyman had briefly moved back in with his parents in his home town of Clydebank after selling his previous house.

The sale came after his split from long-term partner Susan Riddell, with whom he had been in a sevenyear, on-off relationship.

However, the 29-year-old comic has now moved back to the West End of Glasgow after buying the five-bedroom duplex apartment in a 142-year-old converted sandstone building.

Property records show he paid £857,500 for the home which forms part of the B-listed 19th century building which features two living rooms, a dressing room and a luxury fitted kitchen.

A source said: ‘Kevin loves the area and when this place came up he was keen to snap it up. He is delighted with the place and is just settling in at the moment and making it his own. It’s near to lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants and the Botanic Gardens is nearby where he likes to walk his dog.’

Bridges banked a £230,000 profit in January on the luxury townhouse he bought nearly three years ago.

The property in Glasgow’s exclusive Westbourne Gardens cost £968,500 in 2013. The stand-up sold it for £1.2million.

Recently published accounts from his two companies show they have a total value of £4.2million.
