WHAT’S NOW & HOW TO DO IT ...

HIGHLIGHTING

- Elsa McAlonan’s

THE easiest way to achieve glowing, youthful skin is to get creative with highlighter. Use it to mimic where sunlight naturally hits the face — the cheekbones, Cupid’s bow and bridge of the nose. It can make the face look slimmer and eyes brighter.

‘Choose a product without glitter, as this can be ageing,’ says make-up artist Jay Manuel.

For a dewy glow, try L’Oreal Paris True Match Liquid Illuminator (£4.99, Superdrug) in Golden Glow. It can be mixed with your foundation for a more subtle finish. Revlon Photo Ready Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick (£9.99, Boots) is quick to apply and natural looking.

If you prefer powder, opt for the finely milled Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow (below). It doesn’t have chunky particles, so is easier to blend (£49, charlottetilbury.com).
