HE’S been mummy’s little escort ever since he was able to toddle on the red carpet.
But my, Liz Hurley’s son Damian has grown.
The 14-year-old appeared to be taller than the 51-year-old actress last night as they attended the London Evening Standard Theatre awards.
It means the dapper teenager, who was dressed for the occasion in a tuxedo, is already catching up with his father, millionaire producer Steve Bing, who is 6ft3.
Miss Hurley was among a host of stars who dressed in black for the occasion. The evening saw the reunion of Tom Hiddleston and his Night Manager costar Elizabeth Debicki, who stood out in a floor-length black velvet dress.
Billie Piper won the Best Actress award. The 34-year-old won rave reviews for her portrayal of a woman consumed by obsession with her infertility, in Yerma at the Young Vic.
And last night she dazzled once again, although her ghostly complexion looked like she’d overdone the face powder. The perennial popularity of JK Rowling’s stories was demonstrated as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was crowned the best play in the West End.
Glenn Close won the best musical performance category for her role in Sunset Boulevard.
