Body found on beach

THE body of a woman has been discovered on a beach.

Police said the 57-year-old woman was found near St Colme Road in Dalgety Bay, Fife, at around 3pm on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the death was being treated as unexplained, but that there were not thought to be suspicious circumstances.

The spokesman added: ‘Next of kin have been informed and officers are continuing to offer them support at this difficult time.’
