New Saints prove point
THE NEW SAINTS manager Craig Harrison believes his side proved a point as they marched into the semi-finals with a win over Livingston. The Welsh champions prevailed thanks to goals from Robbie Parry, steven saunders and scott Quigley. And Harrison reckons TNs illustrated they could compete in the scottish Championship as they eye silverware north of the border. He said: ‘People might make assumptions about the standard of football in Wales, but I know what I’ve got in my dressing room — players who have competed well in big european ties. ‘Welsh football takes a bit of a kicking sometimes, but I think we’ve proved a point.’
