OUR NEW MAN RESCUES BORIS

IN A shambolic Commons performance, Boris Johnson stumbled when asked if the Commonwealth flag would fly over Government buildings after Brexit.

He admitted to Tory MPS on the Foreign Affairs select committee he didn’t even know what the Commonwealth flag looks like. The political director at the Foreign office, Sir Tim Barrow, came to the Foreign Secretary’s rescue. Sitting behind Johnson, he drew the flag complete with its golden globe on a blue background surrounded by 34 spears. Now Barrow is the new ambassador to Brussels, let’s hope he knows his way around the EU as well.
