THE original 1982 pilot of the World War II farce starring Carmen Silvera and Gorden Kaye. The first regular episode didn’t follow until almost two years later (it’s on tomorrow at 4.20pm), and the series ran until 1992.

TWO seasons ago, Cambridge held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw at home to win an FA Cup replay at Old Trafford. Their manager, Shaun Derry, an ex-Leeds player, will hope they can do even better against his old club tonight.

GORDON RAMSAY takes a gentle and supportive approach to judging a U.S. contest that’s filled with excitable and awestruck contenders, aged eight to 13. This is the beginning of the third season, and it opens on a game of hide-and-seek for MasterChef aprons.
NATURAL MARVEL The Great Butterfly Adventure, 9pm, BBC4
MARTHA KEARNEY charts the annual migration of painted lady butterflies, from Morocco to the UK, in a joyful documentary. How and why do such fragile creatures do it? Everyone who helps her in this film is so enthusiastic about the subject, and it’s lovely to see.
FOUR-WHEELING Wheeler Dealers, 9pm, Discovery
MIKE BREWER and Edd China return for a new series of chummy car restoration adventures. The duo are in the U.S., and taking on their first-ever electric project — a 1985 Maserati Biturbo that was converted to electric in the early Nineties.
NEW SITCOM-LITE The Great Indoors, 9.30pm, ITV2
FOR an amusing if light new U.S. sitcom, Stephen Fry plays the eccentric editor of a travel magazine that is going online-only. As a result, his star explorer (Community’s Joel McHale, pictured with Shaun Brown, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Christine Ko, Susannah Fielding and Fry) is brought in from the field to lead a young editorial team who haven’t a clue about life in the great outdoors . . .
FILM DRAMA The Colony, 10pm, Sky Premiere
EMMA WATSON and Daniel Bruhl (pictured) star in this messy, but chilling drama set in Pinochet-era Chile. They are the lovers who are reunited in a religious community-cum-prison camp.
SCI-FI ACTIONER RoboCop, 11pm, Sky Action
PAUL VERHOEVEN’S compelling and graphic film has been watered down by sequels, a TV series and a remake. Peter Weller is the cop casualty who has to reboot his identity after a cyborg upgrade.
STAR PROFILES Knights Of Classic Drama At The BBC, 11.30pm, BBC4
THERE’S some great footage to be found in this compilation of early TV drama performances by Michael Caine, Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi, Ben Kingsley and Michael Gambon. The sight — and sound — of Caine performing Shakespeare is particularly striking.
