Wills gets the cash to fly in

-

THE ‘Prince William effect’ is being credited for a sharp rise in corporate donations to the air ambulance service where he works as a pilot.

The amount of money East Anglian Air Ambulance received from businesses tripled since he joined in 2015, from £55,101 to £163,082 last year.

The charity’s annual report also reveals it spent £1.5million on new offices at its Cambridge HQ last year, and £300,000 kitting out the base with items including a Playstation and 55-inch TVs. The prince, who donates his salary to charity, is due to leave the service this summer.
