THE last of Andrew GrahamDixo­n’s series features a dizzying number of great names — Monet, Matisse, Picasso, Degas — and opens on the work of the Impression­ists. The term was coined after Monet’s Impression, Sunrise, a work that he painted in just 46 minutes, and which was criticised for its raw style.

AVIATION Hawker Hurricane: Plane Resurrecti­on, 9pm, PBS America

THE second in this absorbing run of restoratio­ns focuses on the wreck of a Mk1 Hurricane, which was shipped from India and lovingly refurbishe­d in the UK. The entire series is available on Netflix.

ZOMBIES The Walking Dead, 9pm, Fox

WAR seemed inevitable when this bloody zombie drama took a break before Christmas and, as it returns, Rick and co set about rounding up new recruits to take on Negan — but don’t anticipate battle any time soon.

FILM THRILLER The Landlord, 9.50pm, Sky Premiere

OMINOUS chiller about a young couple who move into a rented home, which, unbeknown to them, is kitted out with secret cameras. Their creepy landlord has his beady eyes on them…

ADULT COMEDY Girls, 10pm, Sky Atlantic

THE final season of Lena Dunham’s raw comedy opens with Hannah, now a published journalist, reporting on a pretentiou­s surf school. There, she meets a Zen-like teacher who likes to rap, and is played with total conviction by Britain’s Riz Ahmed.

DRAMA RE-RUN Prime Suspect, 11pm, ITV3

THERE’S a prequel on the way (Prime Suspect 1973), so ITV3 is repeating the original every weeknight, from the start. This opening episode takes its time and is still gripping, 26 years after it was first shown — at its centre is Helen Mirren’s finely tuned performanc­e as DCI Tennison (pictured).
