Globetrotting... the ruff guide!

- By Lucy Gray

HIS globetrotting adventures have attracted a faithful following online.

In the past nine years he has visited 53 countries and been snapped at dozens of landmark sites – not bad for a toy labrador.

Cuddly Rufus began racking up the miles while accompanying Raymond and Natalie Milne, from Aberdeen.

The couple – who have two daughters Ashlyn, four, and one-year-old Leoni – now plan to travel to every country in the world with him in tow. They photograph Rufus at every iconic location – ranging from the Great Wall of China to the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids of Giza – making for a hilarious album.

Mr Milne said: ‘Initially it was just to have fun, see the world and broaden my horizons. But since then, I’ve enjoyed travelling so much that I’ve set a goal to visit every country in the world.’

Rufus gets a lot of attention on their travels and has his own Facebook page where people can follow what he has been doing. Mr Milne said: ‘On many occasions, it has led to striking up conversations with people, who are interested in Rufus, his story and his travels so far.

‘Many of the people that we have met along the way are now Facebook friends.’

Out of all of the incredible places they’ve visited so far, New Zealand is their favourite.

Mr Milne explained: ‘We went on a road trip from the South to the North and it is possibly the most beautiful country in the world.’
