Former PC banned from contacting the ex-lover he stalked
A FORMER police officer was yesterday banned from contacting a married woman he stalked and assaulted following an affair.
Fabian Wright, of Aberdeen, became involved in a relationship with Lynne Davidson after he was released from jail for killing a teenager by driving dangerously.
The police constable was speeding when he went through a red light in Aberdeen and smashed into the car in which Lisa-Marie Wyllie was travelling. The 16-year-died following the crash in January 2005.
Wright, 39, was jailed for five years. After he was released in 2008, he began an ‘on/ off extra-marital relationship’ with Mrs Davidson, whom he stalked when she tried to end the affair.
At Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, Wright, pictured, was ordered by a sheriff not to contact his victim for 12 months.
Fiscal depute David Bernard had told the court during a previous hearing that Mrs Davidson had sought comfort with Wright because her husband had been diagnosed with a terminal illness three years earlier. Mr Davidson had been spending time away from home receiving care.
Mr Bernard said: ‘The complainer describes her relationship with the accused as a turbulent one. On various occasions she tried to end it.’
But Wright refused to accept she did not want to see him again.
During their time together, he seized her by the throat, pushed her, banged repeatedly on the door of her home in Banchory, Aberdeenshire, and smashed one of her windows. He also bombarded her with calls and text messages, some abusive.
The court heard Mrs Davidson eventually ended the relationship in 2015.
Wright pleaded guilty to a stalking charge last month.
Yesterday, he was also ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and placed under supervision for two years.
